Name: PATRICK Harris

Title: VP of Operations

Hometown: Lomita, Ca

What are some of your hobbies/interests? : Anyone who knows me knows I am the happiest on two wheels. On the Street, track or the dirt, it doesn't matter. Give me the opportunity to ride, and I am there!

Why did you become a Photographer/DJ?: I started as a DJ in High School. What began as a hobby, quickly became a passion. When I met my wife Jodi, she worked for ABC in New York. She made the mistake of introducing me to the television world. That ignited my interest in video and my thirst for knowledge. As a business owner, I love learning every aspect of what we do and constantly improving upon it. The fast pace of change is what keeps me excited about what I do.

What’s important to you about working at Sight & Sound Events?: The most important thing to me is to always be prepared for what is ahead of us. Whether that thing be an event or new services that we offer, it doesn't matter. I always want us to be prepared to put in a 110% effort and leave our clients with a giant smile on their faces.

What general advice would you give a couple preparing for their wedding?: The best advice I can give anyone is to educate yourself about what you are buying. Many of our clients have never used any of the services we offer and don't know what to ask or what the value of these services are. The best decisions are made when you have some level of knowledge about what you are buying. Spend the time and do your research. Lean, learn, learn!

What should every couple know before meeting with their wedding Photographer/DJ/?: Who are you talking to? Research each company to find out what they do and if they are any good at it. Do they have great reviews? Have they been in business for a while? Have they earned any industry related awards? Most importantly, do they do anything to further educate themselves? Professional education is vital for any company that wants to grow and stay ahead.

What has been your most memorable event moment thus far?: At a recent taping of the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame, I got the opportunity to meet dozens of past champions such as Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and many more. It was a huge thrill to be able to capture this historic event.

How do you know when you’re doing a good job?: I know I'm doing well on the job, when nobody even notices that I was there. Being able to do your job and not being intrusive is a skill set that I have worked on from day one. After the fact, I know I did a great job when I see the huge smile on my clients faces.

How would others describe you?: The best way to describe me is serious but fun. I believe in being laser focused, on the job, while still having fun.

What was the last thing you said to yourself just before you got out of bed this morning?: Time to hit the gym!
